It took me quite a while to get back to zoofriends. I am in the middle of finishing a paper that I want to communicatre to the Proceeding of National Academy of Sciences (USA) a.k.a. PNAS. This is a demanding task and I feel beat at times. I should be able to do it by the end of the month.
Sujaya should move her plants to Hyderabad as there is enough rain here this time. I thought it rained all the 12 months in Oregon.
Mohan your new appointment sounds definitely more interesting to our breed. I hope to learn from you in Biotechnology areas of TN. Someone from Madurai approached me to give them advise on a new product they have developed. If necessary I would ask you for more details about them in the future.
I would visiting the MArine Biological Laboratories in Woodshole Mass. USA from Jul 24 to August 4 follwed by a months stay in Paris. Sujaya, if your plants allow would love to sauy Hi to you in person.
Logging off now
Cheers

I am teaching in fall but should be done by the 13th. Let me know your plans as the time gets closer.

I am done with teaching and life is less hectic. I took on undergraduate advising and that had some interesting moments. One student called the registrar's office to collect her degree today and was told that she had not satisfied the entomology dept. requirements. I get to decide her future (power -oooh).

I am into gardening now and I pray for rain so that I do not have to water my plants. My place is close to campus so I try to bike to work a couple of times a week. I have not yet found a passion like scrabble to get me away from work and that is not good. I see Gopal having a very busy schedule and am trying to start at a slower pace but need to find an absorbing hobby.

How do we expand our group and get Dipak and Radha to join in?

Welcome back Gopal. Glad to find that you are having no problems re posting to the ZooFriends page.
I have been posted as Secretary, Higher Education. Things are a bit hectic right now.
Just to make life more interesting my laptop hard disk has crashed. As usual backups which I made were inadequate:-(
